Welcome to our lodging in Dordogne, France, a high standing rural cottage that can accommodate up to 4 people. Enjoy some peace and quiet in our authentic property Le Maine, family chartreuse settled in 63 acres of meadows and woods crossed by many footpaths and benefitting from a private swimming pool. Ideally sited, it will be easy for you to reach Perigueux, full of listed buildings you will discover while strolling through its streets and back streets, Brantôme, nestled in the middle of La Dronne river, the Lascaux caves not to be missed either. Many discoveries from le Maine en Perigord, Dordogne, including tasting its famous gastronomy that will tickle your taste buds.

Built in the reign of Louis XIV, our delightful chartreuse is located close to Cubjac, Perigord, a typical perigourdine village. The lodging, La Maison de Marc is an independent southfacing farmhouse of Le Maine that has been transformed into an upscale rural cottage, tastefully renovated and outfitted with all modern facilities. It provides 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom, living-room, open stone fireplace, TV, Internet, bathroom and separated lavoratory, private swimming pool. The fully equipped kitchen has a dining area with a french door leading to the private garden full of flowers. You will feel at home in this peaceful and bucolic atmosphere.

On site, private swimming pool, hiking, fishing, tennis table, cycling, bathing in the Auvezere river.
Ideally located, you can visit Perigueux and especially the medieval part of the city with its ancient houses and townhouses, timber framed residences and Roman historical remains. Brantôme, the Venice of Perigord, romantic and soothing is worth a visit as well as Bourdeilles, ancient Barony of Perigord preserved from the world which hides architectural treasures in its dark alleys ; its river hosts fishermen, swimmers and canoeists. Before leaving the Dordogne walk over Montignac and visit the Lascaux cave, masterpiece of prehistoric art, as well as Sarlat, beautiful medieval city and the Hautefort Castle considered as the area's most pretigious castle.
Famous and diversified, the Perigord gastronomy so generous and rooted will delight the gourmets with foie gras, confits, ceps, confits, truffles, cabecou, strawberries served with delicious wines such as Pecharmant, Montravel or Rosette. Enjoy !
